I thought this was a really cool greenhouse
I thought I would pass this along. It looked like a really cool design. Maybe some day I will try and build one.
http://www.bensoninstitute.org/Publi...s/Walipini.pdf Edited to add. This greenhouse is designed to be built by rural peasants in Bolivia with no modern tools or machinery, and is estimated to cost them under $200. |
Re: I thought this was a really cool greenhouse
Actually, it almost looks half habitable if you were bundled up enough for 45f.

Speaking of Green Houses. What is the best one on the market for under 1500.00?

Excellent thread, Igor! What is the advantage to his greenhouse, because climbing in and out is going to be a pain in the :censored::questionm

Re: I thought this was a really cool greenhouse
It is a great idea, but the brick work would make such a greenhouse very pricey. Even if one knew how to lay bricks, there are just too many squares meters of brickwork to make that a productive greenhouse.
I reckon it would make a better bug out/bunker.............But that is only my opinion. One may as well dig another 6ft/2meters down, and architecturally support the roof, and then back fill the roof with two meters of prime insulator.. Tell the backhoe driver to change buckets and request an ascending 1 meter trench be dug, in which to exit/enter. Too easy. SH |
